First to rise

_{Furaha's lips parted to release a yawn as she stumbled blindly to the entrance of the burrow. Her eyes blinking rapidly to reveal the light provided by the bright sun. Her vision was blurred until the small creature focused.
'First up again.' Was Furaha's first thought, her head slowly turning to look at the rest of the family, all snuggled together in an attempt to block out the very cold temperatures during the night.

No surprise, Furaha was usually first up due to the fact she always goes to sleep first. Trotting outside the burrow Furaha found herself alone. Sun beaming against her lightly coloured coat. Her paws carried her the edge of the burrows entrance where she stood, scanning the sky for signs of birds. Her claws resting against her full belly.

She was well taught and always spent time to clearly check the skies for danger. Her keen eyes continually searching until she made sure it was safe. With that done the tense little Meerkat relaxed, knowing the others would soon awake and the family would start the day together. But for now Furaha (or Rah as she was sometimes called ) stayed in view of the sun. Warming up and sunbaking in it's heat.}
